Walk to end Alzheimer’s in memory of Pam!

Home for one day from TX before unpacking and repacking up the house for our fall break week trip to 30A in FL! During that one day we were able to participate virtually in the Walk to end Alzheimer’s in memory of Pam (everyone’s Mamaw) and join the “Sweet Ice Tea, No Ice” team! 💜

💜 2 mile walk in the dark with Marian Reed, Brody and Remi

💜 6 mile run by myself

💜 5 mile hike with Clayton Lichtenberg and Remi 🐶

We know how much Pam loved her daily walks so we decided to add in some extra distance just for her!

Week trip to Dallas TX

New place = new running trails! It was beautiful and while it was hot the breezy weather made it feel really nice! Such a great week networking with so many Executives across 40 different companies and spending time with 2 coworkers.

Brody’s 4th XC Race & Noah’s scrimmage with college scouts

Tougher course with 3 water crossings. They start off almost immediately with the water crossing and then hit 2 other water crossings before coming back through this one again which is near the end but not before a long uphill run and then the finish line with Brody’s usual sprint in! Wasn’t Brody’s fastest time but it was a HOT middle of the day run with a muggy 91 degree temps. He still did great and was running varsity again this season!

Next up is State in mid Oct!

Before the race checking out the course

Even though Papa’s back has been hurting he still made it to Brody’s XC race and Noah’s scrimmage with college scouts.

Oglethorpe University looks a lot like Berry college with its older buildings and being built in the 1800s. It’s not the college for Noah but it was good practice for the boys to scrimmage in front of college scouts.

Look who got to play and make some good plays in outfield when not catching!

Jeepfest Saturday at Charlie’s Creek

Saturday we spent the super hot day nice and cool deep in the woods and creek at Charlie’s Creek! Then we stopped by Grumpy Old Men Brewery in blue ridge and just before the rain we hit the apple orchards….BUT as we were checking out we could see it was DOWNPOURING on the jeeps! The kids climbed into Haley’s all closed up jeep and the parents rode nice and wet LOL!  Always 50/50 chance of rain when you decide to take the door and tops off the jeeps HAHAHA!
