Bootcamp Potty Training complete!!!

Can't begin to say how proud I am of this little man! 1 week after he turned 2 years old we decided to started potty training for him. We actually had no plans for it, it just kind of happened. One morning Brody woke up with a dry diaper as he had done several times in the past and that particular day we were VERY low on diapers! Our amazon order was not coming till the next day at 8pm so we had to use our remaining diapers sparingly ;) That being said we decided since he was already dry hey maybe he will just go in the potty? I took him to the big potty (being completely unprepared) and of course he looked at me like i was crazy!! I then decided to take him into Noah's room to see if Noah would wake up and show Brody how to do it. While I had to discuss and explain each of these details with Noah Brody proceeded to pee on Noah's floor =O It was actually very funny and Brody kept saying " I pee'd on Noah's floor!" So anyways the more i thought about this idea the more convinced I was he was ready. He's always telling us when he's going potty in his diaper and wants to be changed immediately plus he was waking up from naps and bedtime completely dry. Brody is just like his sister and can hold it like a CHAMP!!!
While I was away Brody and Papa gave it another try and while he may have missed he TRIED!!!

Sticker chart time!!

For the very first day of potty training Brody really seems into this! Since i was completely unprepared for this I couldn't even find Noah's 2T underwear for Brody to wear but no worries Brody was perfectly fine with nothing ;)

He had the biggest support team you could find I think! Every time he'd go potty Noah and Haley were both there giving him each a sticker to wear and one for his chart!

Just a like!

The next day of potty training Brody got some encouragement and support and possibly a little "pep talk" from Peyton!

First day napping with just a pull-up on and he woke up dry again! This was the only time we tried the pull-up at nap and then we decided to just go straight to underwear for naps now too!

Haley would always get Brody all setup in the bathroom for the long haul! She knew it was going to take him some time to convince him to go so we had the Ipad going with Elmo Potty Time song rolling, drink and a snack :D Such a good big sister!!

The 2nd and 3rd day were LONG days of potty training but after sittign in the bathroom for an hour he FINALLY went! I think he was afraid and was holding it and he would walk around in the bathroom saying oh i peeing and would stop. He was getting really upset because it was hurting to hold it and then he finally sat and went potty! He was VERY pleased with himself after he'd finally go potty and wow does this little boy LOVE LOVE LOVE himself some jellybeans!! He will do almost anything for a jellybean!

While it felt like we spent our entire weekend in the bathroom we did get to make a trip out to the docks for a few hours and enjoy this beautiful weather! Noah taught Brody how to pee off the dock into the water too. How lovely ;-) It worked though and it helped Brody to quickly get over his fear of going potty not in a diaper.

This potty watch worked perfectly! You can set it to go off every 30, 60 or 90 minutes and it would light up and sing a little song. Now Brody knows even while he's playing etc when it goes off it's time to go "try". He thinks it's so cool that he now has a watch like all the rest of us.

Big Boy Paw Patrol underwear for our little guy! Yes we have to roll the waist to keep them up but that's the smallest they make underwear.

This potty training bootcamp was exhausting for all of us!

An afternoon at park enjoying the weather and celebrating this big boy's accomplishment!

Topped it off with a 1 mile nature trail walk that Brody insisted he walk/run the whole time through! Of course he had to be big like Haley and Noah!

WHEW I am sure glad that adventure is basically over now and we have no more diapers! Brody has done great and hasn't had any accidents all weekend long!!

One of our random evening events I saw these questions and thought it would be interesting and fun to ask the kids these questions for both me and Clayton. Here's what the kids had to say...LOL
