Noah's Baby Shower was on Saturday 9/25/10 and it was absolutely PERFECT!!! It was so much fun celebrating in preparation for his arrival! The shower was hosted by my sisters Sheryl and Melissa, my Mom, and best friend Manace (Stacey). I know that you usually only have showers for your first child but since this one was a Boy and my Family loves a reason for a party.....they decided to throw Noah a shower too. They had everything setup so cute....all the way to the smallest details! Take a look at the onsies hanging....they each say "I love my Aunt Miss, Aunt Sher Sher, and Aunt Manace....so cute...I love them!!
Of course
Sheryl made the cupcakes with the Boat Cake on top! Aren't these little cupcakes adorable?!? It's all edible! She also made little onsie rice krispy treats...my favorite! (She must have stolen both of the creative genes when we were in the womb together...I am not a baker! Here is the link to her Blog if you ever need any goodies!) We are so thankful to have such wonderful family and friends in our lives to share these exciting times with. Noah was showered with tons of gifts!! I knew we bought a lot of pink things for Haley but i never truly realized it until I went through 6 huge bags of Haley's old clothes only to come out with one small diaper box of clothes that we can reuse for Noah :-( It was all plain white onsies and a couple green outfits. Turns out all Haley's blankets, towels, wash clothes, burp clothes, bibs, changing pads, etc were all "girly" things too so we are quickly replacing those with blue items for Noah! It was pretty pathetic....but thankfully he got tons of clothes, bibs, blankets, etc at the shower so now he's all set to be one of the coolest kids in town! Thank you again to all our Family and Friends for such generous gifts for Noah!

Thank you again to all our Family and Friends for such generous gifts for Noah!Haley, Macy and Makayla were also able to attend the shower and help to celebrate the arrival of their new little brother and cousin! I don't think these 3 girls realize what they are getting into with a boy around the house....LOL. It's going to be a crazy one so watch out!

To my surprise Haley even had her own stack of gifts to open that were just for her!! They were Big Sister presents....duh why didn't I think of that?!? It didn't even crossed my mind that I should get her a Big Sister present for the shower so thankfully so many others saved me! I do want to get a special gift for her when Noah arrives for being a Big Sister and also a gift that she can give him that's just from her.
After the shower Melissa and Sheryl came over to my house to help me organize Noah's room and start getting all his clothes, etc washed. After several loads of laundry I now have all his clothes, burp clothes, bibs, blankets, socks, etc all washed and ready for his arrival! His nursery room is almost ready for pictures....I have just a few final items I need to get setup in there and then i'll post an update of both kids rooms. I am trying to be prepared this time since I had the preterm labor with Haley starting at 33 1/2 weeks and I have already starting having TONs of braxton hicks contractions again. Some nights they are 2-5 min apart for about 2 hours. We were all running around like mad people trying to get things all set up for her so this go round I'm trying to get the majority of it done before hand. I had my 8 month Dr. appt last week and the Dr. said that Noah was doing great! By the way here is my belly shot picture from the shower. His heart rate was in the 140's which she said was normal. He is head down and measuring perfectly. He should be around 4lbs right now and 16.5 inches long. We go back to the Dr. this Monday for our 8 1/2 month check up so i'll try to post another update soon.
