Brody's 2 month update

So much has been going on these days. Just in Brody's world the following has happened in the past month:

- Brody started sleeping in his crib at 6wks old.

- 6.5 wks old Brody had his last feeding at 10pm and didn't wake up till 6:30. The next day it was 9:30pm to 6:30am!!! He's been sleeping through the night every night now!! He does usually wake up at 4:45am just for a pacifier and just in the past couple days he's been making it to 5:45am before needing his pacifier or to snuggle in our bed :-D Brody drinks 4.5oz every 3 hrs starting at 6:30am till 9:30pm. He's in size 2 diapers and wearing 0-3 month clothes. We are just about to jump to 3-6months. Brody's 2 month check up went really well and he barely even let out a little cry for his shots BUT by that afternoon it was a new ball game. This child was screaming bloody murder and was inconsolable. His thigh where the shot had been given was quickly turning more and more red.

By 5pm it was flaming red and very warm! We gave him Tylenol and continued putting a cold wash cloth on it. His leg was so hot I had to keep rotating the washcloth. Thankfully we split up his shots at that visit! They said the other half was the one kids may have a reaction to. I'm dreading the 4/18 visit for this shot....ugh!!

2 month stats:

Weight - 10.7lbs (14%)

Height - 22 1/8 (18%)

Head - 15 1/4 (45%)

After his shots on Friday Brody had his first visit to Sunday School! So cute! He did fantastic!

Next...that Monday morning he started his very first day at school. He will be going 3 days a wk and then staying with Papa 2 days a week.

No matter how many times you do this it's still heartbreaking :-( I just tried to keep focus on the fact that Haley and Noah love school so much and hopefully Brody will too! After all these could be life long friends he's meeting. All that said I'm soooo glad and grateful he's home with Papa the other two days! First of many many naps together I'm sure!

What a great way to start out mine and Sheryl's birthday morning than a visit with all my babies! We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at the park and ice cream!! Thank you to all of our family for celebrating with us. Was a perfect day!

This little man is all smiles these days!! Well he may have a few crying/screaming moments but mostly those are when he is tired.

Watch out world Brody is driving to pick Haley up from the school bus!!! Brody and I thought it was so funny :-)

Our little soccer players! Haley is actually really into this year and doing great!! Noah was definitely intimidated the first 2 practices and the first game but his 2nd game he went out there like a big boy and was running all over the field. We are soooo proud of these two! Brody was pretty chill at the games ;-)

Happy St. Pattys Day! Too bad our house caught the bug and couldn't make it to Savannah for our annual St. Pattys trip. We are going to make it up in April though! BIGGEST THANK YOU possible to Grandma and Papa for coming over to help Clayton and I out with the kids when we each of us were sick. Thankfully we had it on seperate days but we need all hands on deck with these 3 kiddos in the afternoon and evenings so it was a HUGE help to have Grandma here with us!!! Now that's taking one for the team!!
