Sumo Wrestler in the making....

Noah and Papa had their first "Boy's Day" yesterday while I went into the office for the first time. It sounded and looked like they had a Great day together! Papa sent me pictures of my little guy through out the day which helped me tremendously!!! I was cracking up laughing when I received this picture! This guy looks like he's ready to be put in the ring ;-) Thanks Papa!

Noah's First Day of School

One of the toughest days of a Mother's life is leaving your precious little baby at school/daycare for the first time! Noah is 9 weeks old and we didn't start Haley in school till she was almost 10 months old so this is a huge change for us. Like i mentioned in my post below Noah will be going to school 3 days a week and Papa will watch him the other two days. Luckily Noah doesn't have any separation anxiety yet other wise this day would have been even worse!! I couldn't take Haley to school for the first few weeks because she had separation anxiety so bad that I knew if she started crying when i left we were both going to be coming back home. Thankfully we know basically everyone at the school already so we know that he is in great hands but when it's not your own hands it's always a hard situation. Haley was SOOO excited to hear that her Baby Brother was coming to school with her today. She watched him the entire way to school and let me know when he was falling asleep as well. She'd say "HA...my baby brother is falling asleep....haha." Since he was sleeping when we got to the school i decided to go ahead and put him in his bed and catch a quick nap before his breakfast! Our big man is dressed in his 6-12 month shirt and 3-6 month pants. The sleeves are a little long on the shirt but we needed a bigger shirt to fit that belly into :-) At least we know that he is well fed and he is loving his breastmilk! Really that shirt looked small in the store so we knew that a 3-6 month wasn't going to fit. Crazy that my 2 month old son is wearing 6-12 month clothes. Well wish Noah luck on his first day at school and hopefully with some of his life long friends!

Noah's 2 Month Stats

Big Boy Noah is 12lbs and 4 oz! He is in the 75% for his weight and 50th percentile for his height at 22 3/4 inches long. His head was 15 3/4 inches which is 50% as well. Just to put that into perspective Haley weighed 12lbs 2 oz at 4 months. We are now in size 2 diapers and in 3-6 month clothes. Noah is drinking about 6 ounces 6 to 7 feedings a day. We are on a pretty good routine these days eating every 3 hours. We start our first feeding around 6:30am and then every three hours until the 9:30pm feeding. I typically don't have to feed him in the middle of the night anymore which is great but unfortunately he hasn't been able to figure out how to go to sleep and stay asleep. By the time I finish the 9:30pm feeding, get the kids to bed, and get myself ready for bed and prepared for the next day it's about midnight. Noah will typically wake up around 3:30am, possibly again at 4:30am and then again at 5:30am and finally at 6:30am he seems hungry and he will chug a 6 oz bottle in about 20 minutes flat. Haley never drank a 6 oz bottle even when she was 1 years old and lord knows she never drank her 4 oz bottles in less an hour. She took her sweet precious time :-) Noah doesn't appear to be hungry in the middle of the night he just wants his pacifier usually or is a little gassy and then falls right back to sleep. Once he falls asleep his pacifier falls out of his mouth and then he wakes back up so it's kind of a vicious cycle. I'm debating on whether to just take the pacifier away all together but not sure if that's the best decision or not. All in all Noah is SOOOO much easier than Haley (so far anyways and knock on wood). He just needs to figure out how to comfort himself so we can all have a restful night of sleep. This picture cracks me up...he'd rather eat his hand then do tummy time! HAHA!

Noah had his first hair cut already! Christy did such a fantastic job with Haley's first hair cut that we thought it was only appropriate that Noah get his first hair cut from Christy too! Thanks so much Christy!!! He didn't need much of a hair cut but for some reason both Haley and Noah had this extra long hair right down the middle of the top of their heads. It drove me crazy with Haley which is why we finally cut it at 5 months so this time i decided I'm not waiting that long and we got it cut at 7 weeks! Now Noah and Daddy have the same hair cut....LOL.

Haley is such a GREAT big sister and loves to help calm Noah when he's crying. She will come running over and rub his head and say "it's okay, it's okay Noah" and then she'll sing him a song and sometimes throw in a little dance. Too cute! Although we are still running on little sleep we are really enjoying being a Family of Four and feel that we are truly blessed! Haley has recently started back at Gymnastics and is actually doing Ballet the first half of the class and then Gymnastics the 2nd half. I keep asking her which one she likes best but she just says that she likes both. Now that she is 3 years old she can take the classes by herself and we don't have to do the Mommy and Me ones. While i loved being able to participate with her it's great just to be able to watch her too, especially since I'm usually feeding Noah at that time as well.

I'm still hoping to post my Christmas blog soon but we are also heading to Disney World again for a "Girls" weekend as well so I'll want to blog about that one as well. There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day recently to write about all the things going on in our lives. It's been busy though that's for sure! Oh and I also went back to work when Noah was 6 weeks old so I'm trying to get into that routine as well. Noah will be starting daycare this week for the first time. He will be attending the same school as Haley and will be going 3 days a week. Papa has graciously offered to watch Noah the other two days a week until he gets to be a little bit older. It's going to be a sad morning dropping him off but I'm hoping it's going to be much easier than it was with Haley since i know the school, teachers, etc now. Haley thinks it's pretty neat that her baby brother is going to go to school with her now too.

ATL Snow Storm of 2011 Continued....

This is the making of the biggest Snowman I've ever took part in. Well really I just held Noah and took pictures while Clayton, Haley and our neighbor Mary Katherine built this awesome snowman. It was hilarious to watch Clayton roll the body of the snowman and then realize he was going to have to pick it up to put in on top of the first ball. After a few attempts, slips, and thought he was able to muscle it up there. This snowman is over twice as tall as Haley. Sure beats our sad attempt last year...LOL. That one still makes me laugh!

Snowman of 2010!
Yesterday's adventures ended with some ice sledding as the freezing rain put a nice sheet of ice over the snow!

It's SNOWING in ATL!!!

I know i still need to post my Christmas update but it's SNOWING in Atlanta so we had to go out and play!!! Haley LOVED going sledding and Noah slept through his first trip out in the snow but i'm sure one day he'll be snow boarding with the neighbors :-) Hopefully i'll have another update later today after we build some snowmen. We had to come in and warm up for a little bit.
