We didn’t know what to do with ourselves

Brody had a baseball game on Friday night and All Star practice on Sunday but Noah’s team has to pull out of this weekend’s tournament due to too many arm injuries. We didn’t know what to do with all that extra free time so we decided that’s probably our only weekend to plant flowers etc for the yard so we did that and enjoyed time by the pool with our neighbors! 

Brody is leading his team with stolen bases and he’s loving it! 

It was another weekend of crazy baseball schedules!

Noah and I pulled out of the driveway at 5:50am Sat morning to head to his first two games. Then after waiting around at the field after the first two games ended up playing first round of bracket play that evening. It was fun as it was against 5 players from his very first travel team when he was 10U plus 2 more friends from school. Since Noah’s team won that meant it was another early morning departure Sunday morning with the rain and cold weather that blew in over night! 

Mean while Clayton took Brody to his game on Sat with Papa and Grandma and then Clayton and Papa drove over to watch the end of Noah’s second game and the Sat evening game. 



Always sun up to sun down at the ball fields!

Haley was at home laying out by the pool all day and baked these banana pancakes with fruit and chocolate peanut butter dip! It was so good! 


Sundays cold day we let Clayton and Noah have the early morning start while we watched Noah’s game on tv and played trouble. If they had won we were going to drive over for the afternoon game but Noah’s elbow was hurting too bad again to play even the morning game after warming up… ughhh another ortho appt on Monday. 


After board games and watching Noah we decided we’d all go get smoothies! 

Another scan for Noah this year…..4th scan just for 2024 $$$$ 

Luckily no PT this time as that’s $200 a visit and they want him to do that 2-3x a week for 6 weeks!! This kid is breaking the bank lol!

Biked to school just for fun!

Brody decided last minute Tuesday night he really wanted us to bike to school Wednesday morning just for fun…..luckily our tires were aired up and ready to go so we did it! 6.5 miles round trip for Brody and 13 miles for Noah and I who had to go back and forth for drop off and then afternoon pickup!. Those hills on the bike though!  We did it though! These are some of mine and the kids best memories! 

Noah decided to wake up early and go with us but I’m not sure riding Brody’s electric scooter counted for exercise lol.

Spring baseball in full swing!! 7 games in one weekend!

Brody had two great days of baseball games Friday and Saturday. Played catcher and short stop on Friday and made a great play as catcher from a bunt to first base and got ‘em out! 

On Saturday he closed out the game pitching and pitched a no score inning and won the game for the team after striking out all 3 batters! The little catcher was evening yelling to Brody “come on Brody one more and we win the game!” 

And while I didn’t get to be there in person because I was at Brody’s game it was SO GREAT watching Noah back out there doing his thing Friday night!! Coach had him catch both games his first night back so he was a little muscle sore Saturday and didn’t catch. Noah thought he’d be ready to catch again Sunday and caught the first half of the semifinals game until his elbow started to hurt again.  Boy do I hate injuries!! After this weeks practice though it’s feeling better and hopefully ready for this weekend’s tournament! 

“Sunday whites”!! Coach has the boys wear their all white uniform on Sundays and while Noah and I had been meticulously customizing new all white catchers gear he was asking Papa and Grandma for for his b day in Nov look what arrived just in time for Sundays “Sunday White” day!! 

It looks so good!! He’s going to wear white gear on turf and his red gear on the GA dirt fields! 

Two piece helmet that Noah prefers but not all umps will allow it nor will high school because it doesn’t protect the back of the head very well.

It’s snowing flowers here in ATL with all the wind we had! 

Making runners out of them after all!  Brody already loves to run but Haley’s been run/walking 4 miles almost everyday for last 2 weeks and Noah has run 2 straight miles the last two days to help with arm care. He even ran the two big hills in Edenham to get to 2 miles!
