Last week on Tuesday 8/24 Brody learned to ride a bike!!

After years and years of trying to talk Brody into trying to learn how to ride a bike he came home from school on Tuesday afternoon and said at 4:30pm today I want to take my training wheels off and learn to ride a bike. This boy obviously likes to do things on his own time! So after dojo class we came home and practiced on the grass for a few minutes and then Brody said I think it will be easier on the street. 10 minutes later he was cursing the streets by himself!!! Of course he had Haley’s support the entire time while Clayton was at baseball lessons with Noah. When they got home Brody rode his bike all the way down the street to meet them to show them he could do it all by himself already!! 

The very next day Brody was riding down our big hill of a driveway, standing up while riding and riding one handed! Pretty sure he could have done this years ago but just wasn’t ready in his mind. 

On Thursday Brody and picked out a bigger bike for him and it will be here this week!

Brody has graduated to the next level in Dojo!!

Brody earned all of his stripes and got to break his board so that he can now graduate to the next level (red uniform) and gold belt at Dojo! We are so proud of Brody and how hard he has worked to get to this point! Brody stays focused and gives it his all during every class (M-Th)! 

This graduation session was a little different and they had it at the water park where the kids got to swim!

One last summer vacation to Savannah!!

While the kids had their first day of school on Thursday we decided to take full advantage of our last weekend with no sports and skipped school and work on Friday and headed to Savannah for the weekend for lots of fun with Melissa, Whit, Madi, Mimi and Grandpa!!! 

After dinner we went out for a beautiful night boat ride! 




Saturday morning we hit the water again and saw lots of dolphins, ate lunch at Tubbys and stopped for drinks at the Wyld!! 












How cool is this….DNR stopped us just to throw the kids t shirts that said “I got caught wearing my life jacket!” =D

We ended the night letting the kids swim at the pool while we ordered pizza for dinner!

I sure missed my girl and I think she missed me too =D


Tiny and Ann were amazing with Koda and Noble while we were gone!
