Soccer and football shuffle weekend!!!

With 5 games and 2 practices scheduled over the weekend it was a mad shuffle to get all kids in the right locations and on time!! Whew!!

Thank you Grandma for doing the Soccer shuffle with me yesterday to Haley and Brody’s soccer games and practice while Clayton took Noah to his football practice and game! Papa made it to Noah’s game on Saturday and Brody’s on Sunday but then had to get Coast Guard inspection on the boat so it’s ready for all of us this summer!!!

HAPPY ST PATTYS DAY!!!

It wasn’t Savannah but we all still had a great time playing dominos for $$$ on the screen porch at our house!! Such a great group of people right here!!

Lastly Two power rangers getting their truck an oil change and emissions test done lol!!

Brody and his very first pair of glasses

In the middle of all these sports and activities while at Brody’s 4 year old check up the dr said they thought something may be wrong with his left eye. After taking the normal eye test at the dr and covering one and and then the other they saw that Brody could see all of the shapes and pictures with his right eye but his left eye was bouncing around and he was making up shapes they said. They did a scan while we were there as well and said they thought he may be far sighted in his left eye only. We schedule an appt with an optomologist for kids and while we were praying he didn’t need to have glasses we were praying even harder that it wasn’t something much worse! Anytime there in inequality and it’s only one eye vs both eyes with an issue they start to worry. When I took Brody the the eye dr and told him what was going on his response was “Oh I’m very glad you Brody him in this is definitely soemthhjng we need to check!” Well of course that doesn’t make me feel any better but Brody did amazing and was such a big boy doing exactly what the dr asked! After the eye tests and dilating his eyes to check out the retina, etc they determined he had two healthy eyes (THANK God!!) but the left eye is having to work 3.5x harder to see things. His right eye was +1 and his left eye was 3.5! The dr said the brain will only do least amount of work so if we don’t strengthen the left eye then it will stop working. Glasses are our first attempt to fix this and with check ups every 6 months if they see any regression we will have to patch his left eye for a few months. They said this is something he may outgrow. Apparently your eye Development is at its peak until age 9 so now is prime time to try to fix this! If he was age 10 they said they wouldn’t have done anything but since he just turned 4....we have lots of time to fix but also lots of time to have things get worse.

The one day of the week we didn’t have sports and other appts we all went together to pick out his frames! Haley and Noah have been absolutely amazing with Brody telling him how cool he will and does look with his glasses! Noah especially keeps telling Brody how awesome it is to have glasses and he wished he needed glasses too like him! He also reminded Brody Superman has glasses and can see the coolest things like behind walls, etc!

Mommy snuggles before we went into the eye Dr =D

Being such a big boy!! Even the Dr said WOW he did great and didn’t move at all even with the eye drops! He did also mention with 3.5 vision and what I said about 4 year old check up he was surprised he could see at all out of the left eye but actually he could read the top 2 lines just couldn’t get the 3rd line but could with his right eye.

Picking out the frames.....

Best picture I could snap at this appt w him moving every two seconds while trying on frames.

Papa and Brody picked up his very own glasses once they were ready this last Friday! We got the Nike flexon ones which are bendable so hoping he doesn’t break them! So far he seems super cautious and careful with them and cleans them all the time!

Noah as the red Power Ranger samurai and Brody as the red Dino charger Power Ranger! Noah convinced Brody to wear his glasses with his costume because he looked so cool! The more he wears then the better chance we have we can correct this and not regress!

Sweet little Addi in her St Patty dress was so adorable with Brody Friday and Saturday night!!!

Soccer, soccer, Soccer, flag football and cheer!!!

You got it....all 3 kids are playing soccer this season!! Noah is also playing flag football and Haley is still taking tumbling classes in preparation for cheer try outs in 6 weeks already!!!! Since Noah is playing up Two levels this season for a U10 Team he now has practice 2 days a week for Soccer. Whew never a dull moment in this house! Soccer started the last week of basketball and the first game started off cold!!

Ooh Noah almost scored!!

Almost scored again!

Brody practicing his Soccer with Papa while st Noah’s football game. Brody Soccer stared one week after Noah’s!

First flag football game!

Brody’s ready!! Put me in coach =D

Girls will always find ways of entertaining themselves at their brothers games...slime....

Go Haley!!!!

When Noah’s not playing soccer or flag football he’s practicing his basketball skills in the driveway!

Haley got a chance to sneak away with Mimi to Savannah for a weekend just before her soccer started! She got to watch Macy’s gymnastics meet!

While it’s a tad cold for fires on the beach with the Hills and Trimble’s we were able to enjoy a night at our house in the screen porch! The Hills brought Diesel for Koda to play with and she loved it!!! Aren’t they so cute?!?

Sweet kiddos!! Brody and Addi!

Haley and Natalie got dressed up for a Friday night dinner with Papa and Grandma!

Ok once in a blue moon it pours rain and some games get cancelled (thank God!) and we all crash lol!!

Movie time in our bed!! Scoot over =D

PJ dance party at church day light savings morning!!

More forts hahaha these kids def got my gene on these things! We used to LOVE making them!!

Koda busted in haha

And then got kicked out....LOL

OH and you know it wouldn’t be our house without a million costume changes by the boys!! Power Ranger samurai right here!

His black ninja joined him in the great battle!

Haley and Emma throwing standing back handsprings together! They are working soooo hard to perfect these skills!

Straight from one thing to the next....tumbling and then hair cuts for all 3 kids! Of course they can’t get them done at the same place because Haley wants the girly sweet n sassy hair cuts while the boys want to go to the boys barber shop! Done...check off my list!

4th grade research project for the entire 4th grade hall! Each classroom had an environment that they had to convert the classroom into and then each pick an animal to research. When someone walked up to your station you had to present your animal to them!  Of course Haley couldn’t just read off the note cards like what was required but instead made a Power point presentation with transitional slides, etc!!! She’s such a good student always going way above and beyond!! And can I tell you for fun after soccer practice Monday night she came home and did a complete “extra” research presentation project “just for fun!!!” No one will see this other than us. She gets no extra points for it. She just wanted to do it!

Koda said you guys can even wear out a 1 year old pup lol!!

End of Season cheer party!!! What a great year with 24 super fun and hard working little ladies!!

And because we don’t have enough going on Brody got a very mild case of hand foot and mouth and couldn’t go to school for a week!! I got a working buddy who didn’t do much work hahaha..... clearly he felt fine and THANK YOU Grandpa for coming to play with him!!!
