Brody's BIG tumble and almost scared Mommy to death!!!

So of course our weekends don't have a minute to spare and in the midst of trying to pack up our bags and head out to the American Girl hotel for Haleys birthday Brody was at the very top of our hardwood stairs and some how missed a step (probably because he had a toy in his hand and couldn't see it) and literally came tumbling down the stairs flat body head over heals 2.5 times until landing at the very bottom on his belly and face! =O =O Needless to say I FREAKED and immediately ran over to him as I was in that same room and just couldn't believe what happen before my eyes!! Clayton ran inside too after hearing it and we both looked at him with dark red blood gushing down his face and a dent in his forehead which later popped out to be an egg and immediately said Let's Go! Straight to the ER we went! Haley and Noah grabbed their shoes and we grabbed a roll of paper towels and got straight into the car. We were there in less than 15 min! When we walked in the lady quickly saw how nervous I was shaking and about to burst into tears when she asked me what happen and said she'd get a nurse to come out to the waiting room to check him now so we didn't have to wait! Of course Brody still had blood on his face too as he wouldn't let us wipe it off except the dripping parts. I did try to clean myself off a bit before I walked in there with it all over my arms and watch. Haley and Noah played it super cool and calm and Brody just kept crying saying OOWWWWW and how he was scared! That breaks my heart even now just typing it but I promised him I was right there with him holding him and his hands and I wasn't going anywhere! Every time we asked him what hurt he always just said the area where the bump on his head was and face. Never any legs, arms, back, neck or anything. After the nurse checked him out we went back to the room where they put the neck brace on him and check his ears, eyes, etc. Brody did great with all of it except checking the ears. Well his ears are always gunky and previously had some blood in them so I'm sure there was still some in there which may have worried the Dr. When we went in for the neck and spine x ray Brody was nervous but I just kept telling him to look at me which he did and he stayed perfectly still for all the pictures!! Once we received the news back in the room that neck and spine were ok he had to go back in for more x rays on his nose. As you know the nose x Ray came back saying it was broken which stinks for sure BUT GAHHHHH thinking back and replaying this fall over and over and over in my mind a million times we are unbelievably blessed that God had his arms and body completely wrapped around Brody as he fell down the stairs and he only had these small breaks and bruises that will heal in just weeks!!!!  Absolutely amazing! Brody was basically back to his usual self by that night and still scares me with his nose as it hasn't slowed him down a bit!

Clayton did awesome Saturday night while we were at the American Girl hotel and had a boys night carving pumpkins with Noah and Brody! Brody even got "Super Brody" put on his pumpkin and Noah was an amazingly great Big Brother taking such good care of Brody! 

The next morning everyone was ready for the Halloween party at church! Clayton snapped this picture for me again Sunday morning to show me Brody was doing great and nonblack eyes!!

American Girl Hotel B Day Celebration!!

Haley requested an American Girl doll theme for her 10th b day party this year and when I heard about Atlanta having an American Girl Hotel room at the Marriott here we stepped up the theme a bit and made it come to life! What a great girls get away and THANK YOU to Mimi for joining us and helping me with the 3 girls and making it that much more fun!!

Here's a mixture of the pictures the website showed and then Haley and her friends doing it! A very special check in just for the girls....

Anointed with a crown, special letter addressed just to Haley and her 3 American Girl dolls she brought with her, wand, and most importantly a pink credit card if her own to buy any snack or drink of her choice in the concession area!

After checking out the room the girls quickly got ready for swimming in the indoor pool and hot tub! Good thing because it was only in the 50s outside and pouring rain!!

While the girls were swimming Mimi and I came up with a scavenger hunt for the girls that took them ALL OVER the hotel!

Now everyone can go shopping for a snack!

Haley requested a cookie cake this year so here it is!! Just for this special night! We did order pizza to the hotel first and found ourselves a perfect little section downstairs with couches and a tv just for us to eat it!

A little uno in bed while waiting for the 10pm American Girl doll movie to start! We were a tad late for the 8pm one ;-) That's what sleepovers are all about though right?!?

Each of the girls had pink robes and pink towels galore!

Next morning a very special American Girl breakfast!!

And because our family never stops you know we had to rush straight from the hotel to a Halloween party at church!! =D We did swing by and pick up the boys too which we missed sooo much!!!

Haley's 10 years old!!! Double Digits!!

Holy cow where did the last decade go???? Seriously!!! This sweet baby girl cannot be 10 years old already! 

Check out how this baby girl has grown over the years into this amazing sweet, smart, beautiful, talented, hardworking and kind hearted 10 year old!! We love you so much Princess!!!

Birthday girls gifts and breakfast is ready to begin the celebrations!

Her give it to her! Sleepy boys in the background kicking off Haleys b day! It was only 6am =DBirthday lunch with my girl!! Sweet treats to enjoy as well! Haley had another quick b day celebration at the end of cheer practice and gave out some more sweet treats to all of the girls to celebrate with her!

Next up dinner with Mimi, Grandpa, Grandma and Papa at Georgios!! Cheesecake was her request so she shall receive! 

Haley just adores these newborn (very life like babies) and Grandma got her a boy and a girl! Seriously look how real these guys look! 

Next up a very special 10 year old birthday celebration....we will be checking into the Marriott American Girl hotel this Saturday night to enjoy all of this pink madness and fun!! We will wrap it up Sunday morning with an American Girl breakfast! Pictures to come! 

This is what I mean by heads working!!! Haley is always such a trooper at all of these cheerleading practices and football games!! It can be very tough being the coaches daughter and always having to be the first ones to arrive, last one to leave all of these events and even more always sharing your Mom with 23 other girls!! So proud of you Haley!

Haley threw her round off back handspring all by herself several times yesterday and then came home and threw her standing back handspring in the grass by herself too!!!
