ATL 15k Hot Chocolate Race!

Just in case our weekend was busy enough I decided last Monday to throw in a 15k race super early Sunday morning before Brody's b day party and Small group that night! With the cheer competition the day before I definitely didn't hydrate myself enough for the race and with only 12 days lead time up to the race I'm not sure I was fully ready for this race. I felt like crap after the first mile and thought oh lord I have 8.5 more to go....UGH!! THANK God there was a break in the severe thunderstorms occurring in ATL all that weekend so we didn't get soaking wet and blisters on our feet from wet shoes on top of the distance but it was still that cold wet air and we had to stand in our Corral for an hour before the race started! Freezing! And we were off! Not sure how in the world i did it but I placed 4th out of the 444 other people in my age group, 27th out of the 3,192 females running the race and 91st out of the 4,390 people that ran the race! So top 2% wasn't bad for as crappy as I thought I was running! Finished in 1 hour 8 min which was 7.20 min miles. I was sure glad when it was over! Lol

The night before the race Haley woke me up around 10:30pm and brought me her hello kitty fleece blanket and whispered "here Mommy this is for your race tomorrow" She is the SWEETEST little girl, how did I get so lucky??? I absolutely did use it the entire car ride down and back too!!!

Oh and did I mention this course seemed to be all up hills whew!!!!

Pretty cool medal!

Headed straight home for a quick shower and off to Brody's b day party!!

Another 1st Place win for Haleys cheerleading squad!!!!!

Soooooo PROUD of these girls and how hard they have worked all season and taking 1st Place out of 5 squads at each competition is just amazing!!! Haley is such a strong girl physically and emotionally and never complains about all the practices and hard work she has to put in for cheerleading! I can't believe how much she has improved since just this past summer!

Even if they didn't win she and the girls would always be 1st Place in my mind!

7:45am and we are downtown in ATL dressed and ready for the big competition!

Excited girls!!

Youth squad

Junior squad! These ladies hit a perfect routine with zero deductions and placed 2nd!!!

Our fan club has arrived!!!!!! Papa was actually the first there but he had already gone into the competition stage room with this gang showed up and we snapped the picture! We could ask for a more loving and supportive family, we truly have the best there is!!!

My brace sister traveling out at 7am in the morning with a 4 year old and 3 month old for basically a full day of cheer with Haley and then straight to Peyton's cheerleading basketball game!! Now that's serious dedication and support!!!!

The girls took the stage....

And nailed it!!!

I love this picture look at the middle flyer's face just smiling away at her side flyer as they are coming up into their pyramid! These girls truly love this sport and each other!

And that's a 1st Place performance!!!

Proud Daddy!!

Boys still wondering why they have to come to these things...hahaha!!! The joys of being a brother to a cheerleader!! I'm sure Brody couldn't have thought of a better way to celebrate his birthday!

A quick nap in the car for the kiddos and off to Brody's b day dinner!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Brody!!!

Brody initially said he didn't want a party and then of course the questions in my mind are does he know what he's missing OR is he like his uncle Gary was as a kid and really did not want a party??? We already had a busy busy weekend planned and do we squeeze in a b day party too for someone who may not really want one??? YES!!!! We decided to go for it!! Leading up to his bday and his b day party when you would tell him it's almost his b day or b day party he would say "No, it's your b day, or Haley or Noahs b day" Anyone but HIS!

Friday we decided to let him stay home from school and enjoy the day before his b day off AND watch the Inaguration of Trump which Brody was actually very interested in! He kept asking "what's they guy saying? Who is that guy?"

Mimi and Grandpa actually got to be in DC for this!

Aunt Sheryl also came over on Friday and helped me make Brody's requested Oreo Blaze monster truck cake!! NOOOO actual cake, just Oreos Brody said! Ok...so how are we going to do this?
Like this!

And Blaze is the winner!!!

Next up I had also asked Brody if he wanted to take cupcakes into school for a party with his school friends.....he said NO, baby Oreos!! Which means the mini Oreos! So we got a bag of mini Oreos for each child and put a ribbon around it and took it into school Friday afternoon for his school party. Excited to take them in!

He was not loving all the attention as you can see. Good thing Haley and Noah were there too! Yikes wonder how this b day party is going to go haha!

The night before his b day morning...

6:30am Saturday 1/21 Haley tried to sneak in the balloons she blew up for him the night before to surprise him on his b day morning! As she was putting them in there she heard a little whisper "Hayeee what you doing?" Smart girl responded back with "nothing, go back to sleep!" =O
He did lay back down for a few min but as he heard Haley and I getting ready to leave for her cheer competition in ATL we decided to get him up and show him his balloons and let him open his presents!!! Yes this was super early for all the boys in our house who usually like to sleep in until at least 8:30am! As Clayton said that day though "if you don't wake up early for your b day there's a chance you may miss it!!" LOL!!! This is sad but soooo true and especially this particular weekend!

Haley and I headed out for cheer competition and the boys were going to relax another 2 hours and then come down to meet us! I will do a separate post on that!

The only time all 3 of my kids have ever fallen asleep in the car at the same time is after a cheer competition! Seriously these things are exhausting!

We had to wake them all up for Brody's b day dinner though!!! Brody was sure glad we did too!! Look at his 12 new Blaze monster trucks Papa and Grandma brought him to open! He's not letting anyone touch them!

The next day we had Brody's b day party at Get Air since he LOVES to jump here!

And Brody's favs mini Oreos and candy necklaces for all of his friends!

If you can't tell by all the Red and black Falcons shirts the Falcons played and won the game that will take them to the Super Bowl in 2 weeks!!!!!

Getting excited about the candles

And then Mommy.....and hid his face while everyone sang to him! Silly boy! One day he will learn b day parties are great!

Trying to act like he doesn't want to give Addison a hug ;-)

Happiest b days do our sweet baby/big boy Brody!!!! We love you soooooo much!!!

Brody 3 year stats:
Weight: 26 1/2 lbs (5%)
Length: 34 1/2 inches (2%)
BMI: 15 (37%)

After getting the flu shot he was not so happy and kept crying telling his bandaid to stop hurting him! When we got home he told Clayton the Dr shot him in the leg and put a bandaid on it LOL! He continued to show us his bandaid all day long and tell us how the Dr shot him in the leg =D
