Haley's First Day of Kindergarten 8/8/2013!

The morning that we have all thought about and basically hoped would never come for every child we've ever had was here.....Haley's first day of Kindergarten!!! Thankfully it was such a FUN morning! Everyone was in great moods and Haley was very excited about riding the school bus like she'd always heard the big kids got to do. We painted Haley's nails last night, got her clothes all picked out, set her alarm and had her book bag all packed and ready to go. We even picked out what she was going to eat for breakfast this morning. Of course it had to be the homemade banana bread that Mimi had made!!! What a great way to start off her day :-) Haley woke up 2 minutes before her alarm went off at 6:25am....just like her Mommy :-) Both kids talked and skipped basically the whole way to the bus stop. Noah was all excited to walk her to the bus stop as well but he sure was one SAD little boy when he realized the bus wasn't picking her up at the end of the street and bringing her right back to our house this morning :-( Luckily I asked him if he wanted to get in Mommy's car and drive up to Haley's school and surprise her in her classroom!!! He said YEESSS!!!! Let's go Mommy....get in the car!! Once we got there I had a chance to visit with her teacher for about 20 minutes before Haley actually showed up which was great! I really really like her and think this is going to be an incredible year for Haley! Once Haley walked into her room and saw Noah and I there she was very surprised and excited as well. We snapped a few pictures and then Noah and I were on our way! We can't wait to see how Haley's first day at school went. We'll be picking her up from the bus stop this afternoon to get all the details!

These two are ready to go!! Notice it's still dark out....6:50am bus pick up is EARLY!!!!

LOVE Haley's Teacher!!!! She seems like such a sweet sweet lady!!

This picture is for my sister Melissa, she can certainly appreciate all the time and work that goes into decorating and setting up a Kindergarten Class room! Looks like a fun room!!
THANKS Sally for Haley's beautiful flowers, bear and balloon to get her all ready for her big day today!! Haley asked me to never ever throw away her balloon and sleep with her bear last night :-) She also put the flowers on the table in the living room so everyone could see them...lol.

Cheerleading has started!!!!

It's official....she's a cheerleader now!

Emma and Haley are ready for their first
cheeleading clinic!!!

What a day!! It was sooo much fun to watch Haley get so excited this morning and picking up her uniform, warm up outfits, and practice shirt. Once she put on her uniform this afternoon she all of a sudden turned into a loud cheerleader. She was actually saying and doing the cheers....i couldn't believe it! I caught them on video for all of you as well :-) This was such an exciting yet kind of an emotional day. I have no idea why I say emotional but for some reason watching Haley at her cheerleading clinic today at the pep rally made me feel a little emotional! It brought back several great memories of our middle and high school days as cheerleaders. I'm sure the fact that we were at the exact same school, in the exact same gym that we all put soooo many hard hours and days of work that it made it that much more emotional. Sheryl and I were both fliers and when Haley's team started to move together for their stunts Clayton said "oh she's going to be a flyer" as she was walking towards her stunt group. I knew if they put her up in a stunt the water works would have probably kicked in....thankfully Haley said that during practice they dropped her so the coaches just told her to sit on the girls knees verses stand on them. That was just fine with this Mommy! I promise I'll do better next go round, this other baby must have my hormones all out of whack because typically none of this stuff bothers me at all! Could also be the fact that she starts Kindergarten this Thursday :-( :-( :-(

One EXCITED little girl!
