Gotta LOVE the Grandparents!!!

Boy did Haley and Noah luck out with the Grandparents!!! These guys are amazing! I hope one day that Clayton and I can be as great of Grandparents as these guys are! First....Papa has been quite the busy guy these days with BOTH kids! With watching Noah every Tuesday and Thursday, visiting Haley at Gymnastics/Ballet class (Saturday's) and then taking her to "Old McDonald's" (as Haley calls it) to play you'd think he really likes to be with his Grandchildren and exhausted :-) Papa's always great about sending me pictures of the kids having a great time, which I LOVE! Then i can share with all of you too :-) Both Papa and Grandma have also watched Haley and Noah 2 Friday nights in a row so that Clayton and I could enjoy some adult time with Friends and a warm dinner!

Second....Grandpa Jimmy just got back into town from India and was right over the next day to see Big Man Noah! He and Papa also met us Friday afternoon at Barnes and Noble to read books with the kids! Haley really enjoys this as she gets to pick from so many new books and I really enjoy it because i get to drink my Starbucks while having a great time with my kiddos. We finished off the night with a trip to the Ice Cream shop! Mimi and Sheryl both came to Haley's gymnastics/ballet class this weekend and visited with Noah while watching Haley. Haley loves to have people come watch her...she'll ask me before class who is coming to watch her that day.

Third.....I happened to mention to Grandma and Mimi on Saturday that our big Man Noah has already out grown his 3-6 month clothes and needed 6-9 months already!!! By Sunday both Grandma and Mimi had shown up at the house with new clothes for this guy! Talk about great Grandma's....it wasn't even a full day and he had new clothes already! I had also ran out Sunday morning and bought him some new clothes since i made him suck in his gut all day Saturday with his smaller clothes...haha so this kid is set now! Oh and I had to pick up size 3 diapers too! I am still in shock how fast he is growing. Noah's teachers at school even mentioned that he had grown just over the weekend and they called him "solid". He is also cutting his first 2 teeth on the bottom! It's like he's really 6 months old already rather than 3 months....cutting 2 teeth, size 6-9 month clothes, #3 diapers, drinking almost 40 ounces a day, can sit himself up when reclined a little bit (we have to be careful as he'll dump himself right over when he does this), and he holds his head up like a champ. He really enjoys sitting in his highchair and his bumbo seat and soon we will be introducing him to his exersaucer which i know he is going to love! He really is the happiest baby I've ever known and even if he is about to cry if you start talking to him he'll give you his big smile which melts your heart! He is also giggling now which is just precious! Haley is such a GREAT Big Sister! The other day she came down the stairs crying about something and then Noah started crying and she said "get Noah". She hates to see him not happy. A quick way to cheer up Haley is to have Noah smile at her and all her worries are gone, she's just excited that Noah is smiling and talking to her.
Check out these arms...lol. Clayton mentioned the other day that you know it's bad when he spits up and you have to hunt for it....in his neck rolls...LOL...I know SOOO gross but I had to share! He'll probably end up being this really skinny guy once he gets moving!
So thanks again to our Wonderful Parents/Grandparents for everything that you do for us and Haley and Noah!!!
Oh and by the way I did get a new camera last weekend!! Whooohoo! I have to download the media to my computer so I can upload my pictures but I love it!

3 Month Update

Noah went in for his 2nd round of 2 month shots on Monday and Big Boy now weighs 14lbs and 10oz at 3 months! He drinks a little more than 6oz every 3 hrs starting at 6:30am through 9:30pm (6 times a day). He is such a happy baby and loves to smile and talk to his Big Sister. Noah also made his first road trip to Savannah this past weekend for his Aunt Miss's Surprise B-Day Party!!! Happy Birthday Melissa! He was such a trooper as it was a whirl wind trip! Haley stayed at home with Daddy and got some much needed Father/Daughter time.
Sorry for the lack of pictures lately, I dropped my camera and broke it :-( I'm waiting for my hubby to bring me home a new one! Hopefully I will get one soon as we are missing precious moments in our children's lives. (That should get him to buy me one...LOL)

Finally......Christmas 2010 Post

Christmas Eve began with our traditional trip to starbucks to visit with Mimi and SherSher. Notice the gingerbread shirt Haley made at school. She loved this shirt and requested to wear it several times. We all sipped on our favorite drinks at Starbucks, relaxed and prepared ourselves for the usual craziness that the Christmas holidays was about to bring. Later that evening we headed to Christmas Eve service with Grandma and Papa. This was Noah's first church experience! Of course with any 5 week old baby he wasn't waiting until we got back home after church to eat so he drank a bottle while the rest of us enjoyed the Christmas service. After church the fun began.....it's was time to start the 1st of several Christmas events! Haley prepared us by singing Christmas carols all the way home from church. Both kids were spoiled with presents from Grandma and Papa! We could have stopped the gifts after that night they had so many but of course it wouldn't be Christmas if All kids weren't completely overwhelmed with gifts :-) Next it was time to prepare for Santa!!! First we put out our special plate for Santa, then we picked out the perfect oreo cookies and added a glass of milk. For the Reindeer we put small carrots on the plate in case they came inside to get warm for a minute with Santa! Of course we had to put a picture of Haley out too so that they remembered what she looked like...haha. Actually she made this at school. The Reindeer needed small carrots so they didn't have to work so hard to chew them all up. We ended Christmas Eve by convincing Haley that she had to hurry up and get in bed so Santa could come bring her more presents!

Christmas Day morning came very quickly as Noah was still eating every 3 hours at this point so once we were up to eat at 5:30am and then we were up for the rest of the day. At about 6am I had just finished feeding Noah and laid him back in his pack n play near the bed when Haley came into our room. She never goes downstairs until we get up and go down with her so we just told her to go into the media room and watch her movie until we got up. Well......about 10 min later she came walking back in our room and very excitedly said "hey....i think the reindeer ate the carrots!" We quickly jumped up and asked her if she had already been downstairs and of course she had already been down there saw all the presents, etc....and none of it was caught on video! Since she was so into it this year i was really excited about seeing her reaction and i MISSED it! Oh well, there is always next year! Santa did leave Haley a special surprise though....! A not so special surprise that Santa left for me was this picture...LOL! I think this was our little girl when she first went down stairs! Noah wasn't all into it this year he was just wishing he was still in bed ;-( Once we finished up our Christmas gifts at our house it was off to Mimi and Grandpa's house! Papa and Grandma, Sheryl and Ryan, Melissa and Whit and Bob and Mary all joined us as well!

Following Christmas Day the rest of the gang started to join us over the next week.....Gary, Mandy, Macy and Makayla flew in from Charlotte, Ma and John drove in from St. Louis and Jason, Jen, Reganne and Riley flew in from Kansas City! Unfortunately Haley got the respiratory flu right after Christmas so she wasn't able to visit with anyone the first couple of days. Once she was finally doing better and had been fever free for 24 hours she was able to go to Mimi and Grandpa's house to play with everyone! It's so much fun to watch ALL the girls play together now. They are all so interactive and really seem to love being cousins and seeing each other again! Makayla was sure to keep a close eye on Noah too ; -).

Mimi was very popular with all the Grandkids....EVERYONE wanted "Mimi"! You couldn't walk into one room in the house without hearing someone asking for her! It was so cute and I hope one day that all my Grandkids want to play, sit, snuggle with me as much as they do Mimi!
A HUGE thanks to Aunt Miss as she was my kids 2nd Mom the whole week she was in town!!! With Haley being so sick with 104 fevers, me trying to go back to work and Noah only being 5 weeks old it was CRAZY! Aunt Miss was there with us every step of the way and we missed her dearly when she headed back home. I think every child should have two Moms! It sure makes life easier :-) Thanks again Melissa!
