We are VERY excited to announce that we are expecting Baby #2!!! Haley is so proud of her shirt and will walk up to anyone that will listen and pull her shirt down and say "Look at my shirt!" She's going to be a GREAT big sister! She's already been practicing changing diapers on all her stuffed animals so hopefully we can recruit her for the real job :-) If you ask her "Who wants to be a Big Sister" she'll raise her hand and say "I do!" It's so cute! In my last post I mentioned we sold the house finally....well 3 days before we got the contract on our house was when we found out the exciting news about Baby #2! It was a crazy week and happened to be the week of St. Patty's Day so you could say the Luck of the Irish was in our favor. It has been an exhausting first trimester with trying to pack up the house, search every night after work and weekends for a new house and then rush home and try to get Haley in the bathtub and ready for bed. I am so happy that we are finally moved out and we have found our new house, now we just have to wait for the closing day so we can move in and get both kids rooms all decorated! We are definitely going to find out the sex of this baby as well and hope to find out on our next Dr. appt on 6/7/10! Wish us luck otherwise we have to wait another 4 weeks...ugh! Other than being tired I've been feeling pretty good through this pregnancy. For a few weeks around 2pm I'd start to feel a little sick but nothing major and nothing a little sprite and a plain bagel w/ plain cream cheese couldn't fix. Only cravings so far has been sour and sweet things....shock tarts, sour jolly ranchers, etc. I'm pretty much over that now and really want sweets but hey that's nothing new, that's just me on a normal day....LOL! Good news was that I didn't have the headaches like I did with Haley so I'm thankful for that. All in all so far it's been a good pregnancy.
It honestly feels like everyone is announcing they are pregnant with #2 babies right now so our new little one should have plenty of playmates! Monday starts 12 weeks for us and we have had 3 ultra sounds so far! The baby looks fantastic and is growing like crazy! The heart rate at our 9 and 11 1/2 week check ups were 174 and 179 and our due date is 11/22/10 (only a few weeks after Haley turns 3 years old)! Hopefully we can make it through her big b-day bash with out going into labor so they don't end up with the same birthdays.
Clayton and I are headed off for our Cruise on Monday for 5 days!!! Clayton's turning 30 next week so I wanted to plan something big for his 30th b-day! This is our first trip away from Haley :-( We are really sad about leaving her and still aren't sure we can do it but we know it will be great for us to get away and have some time to just relax especially before baby #2 arrives. Luckily we have our friends Ben and Lindsey joining us which will also help to distract us as they are leaving their two boys behind as well and we always have a great time with them. Haley will be staying with our parents while we are gone so I'm sure she'll be completely spoiled when we come back!
