Happy 2nd Birthday Haley!

Our little cupcake turned TWO on 10/24/2009! Much like Haley our party was very sweet! I can't believe Haley has been apart of our lives for two years already! I can't even imagine our lives with out her! Haley is the highlight of our lives and we love spending every minute with her. Haley's 2 year old stats are as follows: Weight 20lbs and 6 oz (WHOOHOO....she finally hit 20lbs!) She is in the 3% for her weight. Height is 32 3/4 inches (25%) and head is 18 1/4 inches (25%). Dr. said that she looks great and is right on track! Thank God we do not have to do anymore tests on her! She's a happy healthy little 2 year old who LOVES to talk saying at least 200 words and short sentences (2 to 5 words)! Haley can now count to 10 and sometimes 15 with a little assistance and knows almost all of her alphabet letters by recognition not just the song. She's know her colors and shapes for a while but she still likes to practice those! She is really into baby dolls, stuffed animals, and her DVDs (Barney, Brainy Baby, Leap Frog and Little Einstein's). Haley's 2nd b-day part went off with out a hitch! She loved having all her friends and family at the house to celebrate her big b-day. I have given her some cupcakes since the party and every time she thinks we are supposed to sing Happy Birthday :) She'll learn one day but for now we are singing Happy Birthday all the time until all of her cupcakes are gone. Thanks to Aunt Sher Sher for making the wonderful cupcakes to match the theme of the party and the cookie monster cup cakes to put in each of the kids goody bags! Of course Haley loved opening her gifts as she always does (even if it isn't her b-day...lol). Thank you to everyone for coming to celebrate this special day with all of us and for those of you who we celebrated her b-day with earlier. Macy, MaKayla, Russell, Wes and Brandon were all able to attend the bash and I snapped some really cute pictures them! After the party we went to dinner that night and then surprised Mimi by picking her up at the 3-Day and hanging out with her that night so that she could see Haley on her 2nd Birthday! We are so proud of Mimi for walking the 3-Day Breast Cancer walk (60 Miles)!!!! Mimi did so great and didn't even get one blister...she's one fit Grandma :) Throughout the weekend we all tried to stop by and cheer everyone on and support Mimi, Zoe and Lisa in their big accomplishment! The walked started at 7:30am on Friday at Lake Lanier Islands and ended on Sunday at Turner Field in Atlanta! Several of us got up nice and early on Friday to see Mimi off on her journey! Sunday Melissa and I met early to start the cheering!! We went to every cheer station and decorated my car, played loud music, held signs and made shakers to get everyone pumped up! I think it worked :) Sunday afternoon we all gathered in Atlanta for the closing ceremonies! Haley had such a great time with Ma, John, Jimmy, Melissa, Clayton and Taleen and Bryce! We love you Mimi and GREAT job! After the closing ceremonies we all headed out to dinner so that Mom could enjoy a nice meal after all the walking!
Gary, Mandy, Macy and Makayla came into town a few days early and stayed out our house the first night so Clayton, Haley and I got some quality time in with all of them! I got some great smiles out of Makayla and Macy and we loved getting to see them and having them all to ourselves before they headed up to Mom's house for the weekend with everyone else! The girls are getting so big already but both are doing fabulous!
After our crazy weekend we topped the week of with bringing Haley into the office on Wednesday for Trick or Treat for the kids. Our company does this every year and it's always such a hit! The kids love it and of course we all love showing our co-workers our kids since we talk about them all the time! As you can see from the video Haley absolutely loved it and would make us stop at every desk that had a bowl on it to get her some candy. She filled her entire bucket up and we had to empty it out and start again! Haley was super excited to see her friend Slidell made it to the trick or treating event too! Naturally he was the most famous trick or treater there! Haley can't wait to go trick or treating again this weekend, she absolutely loves it!

Our little Frequent Flyer

Haley and I went on our first weekend trip alone and we flew to St. Louis to see our family! I was very nervous about having to travel with all of our luggage (suit case, pack n play, stroller, car seat, diaper bag, book bag full of toys for the plane ride, etc) It was absolutely crazy but Haley was wonderful and acted like such a big girl! Naturally we must look like the prime candidates to be screened going through the airport b/c they decided to pull the two of us aside and go through all our carry on luggage! Like i really had time to high jack a plane with this busy little girl! I must say I am glad that they are checking everyone though, I felt like we were pretty safe. Gary and JoAnn dropped the two of us off at the airport on Thursday night and helped us on our way! I was feeling pretty good by the time we got to our terminal, Haley was doing great and REALLY excited about seeing the airplanes. Of course she thinks Gary fly's all of the airplanes that she sees and Melissa is apparently on all of them too...haha. Once we got to St. Louis Sally and Laney met us at the airport and naturally we headed to Mexican for a big margarita! Haley got sprite...LOL. We ended our night by heading back to Sally and Laney's house where Haley got to play with more pumpkins than she has ever seen in her life. Laney just kept pulling them out for her, she still loves her orange, and now pumpkins. Naturally Haley loves any dogs that she sees too so she was loving all over Jackson and Mike while she was there too. Thank goodness Jackson didn't mind because she seemed to migrate to him a lot.
Friday morning we Haley, Sally and I started our journey to St. Gen to visit Sis, Ma and John. When we arrived they already had toys laid out for Haley so she was in heaven from the minute we got there. She especially loved the Barney puzzles and huge bear, both were huge hits. After playing with all of her toys Haley took about a 2 hour nap which worked out great because then I was able to spend some time visiting with everyone as well. We ended our trip with the famous trip to Sara's Ice Cream shop. This is a must if you ever visit St. Gen, they still have the double ice cream cones that are side by side. Sheryl and I have always loved this place and have gone there since we were kids so I really wanted to make sure Haley got to go there too since she has the same sweet tooth as her Mom and Sher Sher. Unfortunately Sheryl and Ryan were not able to make it to St. Gen with us due to their flight being delayed in Memphis for several hours. They did get to meet up with us for dinner that night though and Saturday morning when we went to the playground with Haley. Ry Ry got in lots of play time with Haley! Saturday morning Sheryl, Ryan, Gary, Haley and I met up with Grandpa and Great Grandpa (Pa) and Sis. Since everyone only gets to see Haley about once or twice a year i wanted them to see her be her normal self and what better place than a play ground? Haley loved the playground and even sat still for just a few seconds so we could snap some pictures with everyone. Saturday night Sher Sher and RyRy got to watch Barney with Haley while we visited with Art, Linda, Rachel, Cory, Sally and Laney. Sorry, I didn't even pull out my camera once that night so i have no pictures to show but I'll snap some the next time we're all together again. Haley and I stayed the night at Art and Linda's house that night and had a great time eating breakfast and hanging out the next morning with them before we headed back to the airport. We had a fabulous visit with everyone and really enjoyed our time but we were happy to get back home to see Dad again. Plus I thought my back was going to break from carrying Haley and all of our junk around all weekend. Clayton met us at the airport and seemed like an anxious little boy waiting for Haley to come running to him. He said he really missed his girls :)

Well football season has officially started and we have our little cheer leader already :) I just love this video of Haley doing her cheer. We took her to one of the high school football games where two of the ladies that Sheryl and I used to cheer with now coach the cheerleaders. Haley had a great time and collected several of her first footballs and a pom pom! She's all set for football season now! For those of you that know this cheer I had to modify the end of it to make it a little easier for her but you get the point.

Haley still goes to school Monday through Thursday and Mama and Papa still watch her on Fridays. We typically ask Haley on Thursday nights "guess who's coming over tomorrow" she knows now and always says "Papa and Mama". All weekend she kept saying that she wanted to go to Mama's house so we took her over there to play with Kobe and Bell and all of her toys over there. Mimi and Grandpa were out of town this weekend so she got to spend lots of time with Mama and Papa. We even took her to the pumpkin patch this weekend where she got to pick out 3 pumpkins. She was all over the place and wanted to go look at everything. We did get to take a few cute pictures of here there. It looks like Haley is 2 1/2 feet tall this fall.

Just before we went on our trip Sher Sher had made Sheryl some cookie monster cup cakes! Haley couldn't believe her eyes when i put this in front of her and told her she could eat the whole thing! I think she thought i was teasing her. She loved it though and especially the icing!
