We found paradise...... it's in Hawaii!!!

Hawaii was absolutely beautiful as was the Bride and of course the Groom was looking his best! Everyone had a wonderful time at the wedding and the weather nor the location could have been better! Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Chromek we are so excited for the newlyweds!

The day before we left for Hawaii Haley woke up with a fever! Figures huh? She continued to run a fever all day even though Grandma and I gave her Tylenol every 4 hours and had her stick her feet in cold water while eating a popsicle. Not sure if it was teething, cold, or a virus but luckily the morning of the flight she no longer had the fever. She was still cranky that morning but by the time we got to the airport she was in a much better mood! It was probably Grandma's peach/mango smoothie Haley had that made her feel better! The flights were a little crazy getting to Hawaii but we all eventually made it there and Haley did great! Whew...what a good traveler so far! We had so much fun in Hawaii I was really trying to get Clayton to stay another week but he wouldn't take off an extra week :( I was really bummed because this is probably the first vacation I have gone on for 8 days and wasn't ready to come home yet. We were all having such a good time and we had so many things that we hadn't gotten to do yet that it just didn't seem like we should be leaving. Haley absolutely loved the pools there and really enjoyed the waterfalls and water fountains. Haley's cousin's Riley and Reganne were there too which worked out great because Haley had live in playmates for a few days so she was loving it! Of course having Melissa and Whit, Gary and Mandy, and Mimi and Grandpa in the house was a HUGE help as well and tons of fun for Haley. The first two nights there she actually woke up in the middle of the night crying for Mimi. We had to tell her that she was sleeping and that they could play in the morning. Too cute! She was loving her Mimi!
Haley was able to feel sand between her toes and see the ocean for the very first time in Hawaii! I hope we didn't set her standards too high already. She liked the water rushing over her feet and the hard sand but she did not like the soft sand nor would she stand on the rocks. All she would say is "no no no". She really enjoyed her stroll on the beach with Dad, Mimi and Grandpa though. Of course I'm there too but someone has to be behind the camera catching all these great pictures! Thanks to Mimi watching Haley for us Clayton and I were able to go scuba diving one day and Melissa and I went surfing another day! Amazingly enough we were both able to get up every time! We also enjoyed many meals by the beach with the family and being in the sun!
Just to tell you how perfectly Hawaii was for our family....they had a Mexican restaurant by the beach!!! How perfect is that? For all of you that know us well, you know how much we LOVE Mexican (including Haley) and to find this in Hawaii by the beach I felt at home!!! I could see it now...every Friday and Saturday night you'd know where to find us "Fred's Mexican Cafe!" Well I'm going to wrap up this blog report because now I'm all sad that we are not there anymore. I guess I need to go ahead and book our next trip....good news, i think I'm free next week :-)

Mother's Day!

My 2nd Mother's Day went great! Clayton and Haley surprised me by getting their pictures done together and giving me two frames full of GREAT pictures of the two of them! The timing worked out great since we needed to get her 18 month pictures anyways. Clayton said that they had such a good time doing these together which made it even more special. I don't have much of an update other than we are ready for our Hawaii trip and hope to post pictures soon! I hope all those great Mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day too!
