A New Dance Video!

We have been having such a good time with Haley lately that I keep forgetting to grab my camera. It's been so hard to get pictures of her lately or even take videos because she is such a busy body and standing still while Mom takes a picture is not on her to do list! I was able to snap a few of them, but they aren't the best. I have taken lots of videos lately that i think you guys will enjoy. One of Haley's new things is to drop things on the floor or drop her toys outside of the bath tub and then say "uh oh!" She will walk around all day dropping stuff and saying uh oh. Although we don't want to teach her that it's okay to do this we still laugh because we think it's adorable.

This is a video of our typical weekly mornings. We are both trying to get ready, play with Haley and she runs around only half dressed and pulling the toilet paper off the rolls :)

Haley got to spend the weekend with 3 dogs at the house while Mimi and Grandpa were out of town. Although they all look alike she can tell them apart. Oh and this isn't anything new but i finally caught her on tape talking on the phone. She LOVES playing with the phone, although she hasn't quite figured out that they can't see her....I guess we'll have to get her a cell phone with the video camera on it. At the end of this video you will see Haley's new "Hug" well at least this is what she thinks is a hug. For a while we couldn't figure out what she was doing and we would tell her to come give us a hug and she would open her arms, squint her eyes, and shake a little...we finally realized this is what we did when we gave her a hug minus the actual hug :) One day we will correct her but for now we are just having a good time!

The great outdoors! Haley will actually cry at the back door because she wants to go outside so bad. She absolutely loves to walk around on the patio (not the grass) and check out the neighborhood to see what she might be missing. She loves to waive to all of the neighbors too :) Such a social butterfly.

Saturday morning we were cleaning the house and Haley went over and grabbed her vacuum cleaner. She seemed to be having a good time in the beginning and was excited when i told her she did a good job, however i can just see the future when she is going to say "but Mom I did it last time!"

Obsessed with her belly button :) She can actually point to her eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, hands, fingers, feet, toes and belly buttons but in the video she just couldn't get past her belly button! Too funny! Well that should be plenty of video's to give you a quick update into our crazy lives. I do have one last picture to show you which i think is so cute, but one day i will cry because i know she will have that same expression on her face when she gets real keys to her first car :(

15 month update

Haley turned 15 months old on January 24, 2009! Her 15 month check up went great because Haley is finally back on the charts for her weight! She now weighs 18.6 lbs which puts her in the 3%-5% range....whooohooo! Go Haley :) Her pediatrician was very excited to see this growth spurt even if it wasn't a huge one which was VERY relieving for Clayton and I. We have been a little stressed constantly worrying about her not eating enough. Of course after she finally weighed in at 18.6lbs she hasn't really wanted to eat or drink much milk since then which has been 4 days :( I think that she has another tooth coming through though because she won't stop chewing on her fingers, has a runny nose, and won't eat. Typical signs of a new tooth trying to sneak through. Anytime Haley gets sick or isn't feeling well her appetite is the first thing to go. She is also 29 1/2 inches long which is in the 25%-50% range.
Haley had such a wonderful but busy weekend with Aunt Sheryl's first bridal shower, Ma and John (Great Grandparents), Aunt Melissa and Uncle Whit, Uncle Gary and Aunt Mandy all coming into town and of course i completely slacked on taking pictures while everyone was in town but I'll just tell you guys all of the news! The biggest news of the weekend was that Haley is now going to be an older cousin....and not of just one baby but TWO!!! You got it, it's TWINS for Gary and Mandy!!! I can't tell you how excited we all are about these two new additions to our family. We already have a rather larger family and when you start adding two babies at a time it's going to get out of control but just think of all the fun we will have together :) We love it!
Haley really enjoyed getting to see her Great Grandparents for 5 days! This is the first time she has been able to spend a few days with them so they really got to see her true personality and watch her play, dance, giggle and watch her brainy baby DVDs with her. Papa got her these for Christmas and she absolutely loves these. She watches them every morning while we get ready for school and work. We are all getting ourselves ready for the big wedding in Hawaii in just a few more months! Haley is going to be the flower girl in Aunt Sheryl and Uncle Ryan's wedding and she just loves her dress. We haven't decided 100% if this is the one that she is going to wear during the ceremony but she will definitely wear it at some point while we are out there if she doesn't wear it in the wedding. I haven't been able to take many pictures of Haley lately unless i want the back of her head because she is constantly moving....such a busy body! She usually doesn't actually sit down to watch her video's, it's typically her playing with her toys in the living room and occasionally stopping to take a look up at the TV. She is learning so much now though and has moved to the next room at daycare. She doesn't even sleep in a crib there anymore :( She's sleeping on a little cot just like I did when i was in pre-school. All of the kids sit at the little tables to eat all of their meals together and she is getting pretty good and eating with her fork and spoon but certainly hasn't perfected it yet. Oh and the teacher wanted to be sure to tell me that she did the hokey poky at school the other day. She said she would put her leg in and her arm in and then she would turn in a circle....so cute, i wish i could have seen it but she LOVES to dance and we get to see that all the time! So far Haley is saying Momma, Dadda, Papa, YiYa (Kylah), duck, bye bye, come (when she wants her puppy to follow her...haha), bubbles, uh-oh and occasionally Grandpa and Grandma. Of course she tells us lots of stories and talks all the time however we don't really classify them as words...more of just a babble.
