Haley's 6 Month Pictures

We finally left a weekend open and were able to get Haley's 6 month pictures! I know we are a couple of weeks behind, but better late than never! The black and white one is our favorite but there were several to choose from that we also liked. Of course we did another family picture too! Haley got her second tooth in this week, so now she has both of her front bottom teeth! She is looking forward to spending Memorial Day weekend with her Aunts and Uncles and cousins!!! It's going to be another crazy weekend, but will definitely be eventful!

First Mother's Day!

My first Mother's Day was great! Haley was such a trooper on our trip to Memphis! It took us about 8 hours to get there but she smiled the whole way! She even got her First tooth in while we were there! We could see that it was right below the gum line and it finally came through! She was trying to teeth on everything the night before including Uncle Gary's cheesecake that she was admit she have and Dad's beer! :) I haven't been able to get a picture of her tooth yet but I'll keep trying!

While at the wedding Dad and Haley were able to have their first father daughter dance! It was so cute! Uncle Gary soon joined the dance floor with them and was able to get a good laugh out of Haley...she was eating up all this attention! Aunt Melissa was able to comfort Haley while she was getting ready for a nap!
Haley continues to love the lake and Grandma Reed was teaching her to drink out of a cup! This time she wore her bikini and of course she always has a great time when Dad is holding her! I think all that fresh air really makes Haley tired because she always takes a good nap when we are on the lake...here she is picking out her spot to nap! She is really loving bath time these days so hopefully that means she'll like the lake and pool water.
Two weeks ago Haley went to her first "Family Day" event at McKesson, where she was able to visit Aunt Sheryl and Grandma Reed! She had such a great time watching all the kids playing, she kept trying to talk to them. If you look at her name tag it says "Partier" :)
Of course we continue to love every minute with her! She is growing so fast and everyday she amazes us with something else.

Lake Trip!!! Last weekend Haley made her first trip to Charlotte NC to visit Uncle Gary and Aunt Mandy! Saturday morning we put Haley in her swim suit, loaded up the sun block (spf 50), packed the coolers and headed to the Lake...of course with her life jacket that she absolutely despised!!! She really enjoyed being on the lake and actually took about a 2 hour nap in the cuddy cabin down below...she enjoyed feeling the boat roll over the waves and the cool breeze coming through the cabin while she rested up! We also went to lunch by boat! Next weekend we are headed to Memphis TN for a wedding....wonder where we will travel to next :)
Haley has really been enjoying her exersaucer still and finds it to be quite relaxing! Since she is teething she wants to put everything in her mouth....including this big Duck :) Maybe she was just going to give it a kiss! She is getting more and more into her books and enjoyed the visit with Papa the other day when he came over to read to her after her 6 month shots! Haley now weighs 14 1/2 lbs and is 26 inches long!
Our picky eater is only getting worse...now that she is getting to be a big girl she doesn't want to be held while she takes her bottle. She wants to be sitting in her chair, couch, or bouncy seat, stroller, etc while she drinks her bottle. She usually falls asleep at the end so i just let her sleep there a few minutes and then moved her to her crib. Of course we still have to have our tag blanket over our face so no one can watch her drink! She's a crazy one, but she knows what she wants! We have started eating baby food as well and so far she likes peas, carrots, sweet potatoes and banana's! The only food that she doesn't like so far is avocado's! I can't blame her though, i don't like those either!
