Christmas is just around the corner...

We are so excited about Haley's first Christmas! This year will be such an amazing time for us and we feel so honored to have this wonderful addition to our lives. We will take lots of pictures and maybe even another video that i hope to share with all of you on next weeks update. She is already learning to pose on her own :)

Haley is 2 months old this week! She went Friday for her 2 month check up and vaccinations. She is now 10lbs 2oz. Poor baby was laying there so innocently and laughing and having a good time when all of a sudden she had this huge surprised look on her face and those smiles quickly turned into tears running down her face when she realized a big needle just went into her thigh. I almost cried with her! It was soooo sad! It was a pretty rough night after all that since she had a fever and if you touched her leg she would scream like crazy and shake it at you! Can you imagine trying to change a diaper and not touch her leg....almost impossible! We kept giving her Tylenol and by the next morning she was feeling much better! Along with all the shots we are also trying to determine if she is lactose intolerant and we also had to increase the medicine from axid to previcid for her Acid Reflux. It's been a crazy couple of days and a few sleepless nights, but we hope that we can soon find out what is upsetting her stomach and hopefully the Previcid will help with the reflux. It's all a trial and error process! We will keep you posted!

Merry Christmas!

My first week back to work...

I am so fortunate that i am able to work from home most of the time so it wasn't too bad having to go back to work this week. I did go into the office one day this week and since Haley and I haven't been apart from each other that long she had to come see her Mom :) Plus we have to start teaching them young right? This is her second visit to the office and she just loves to come see Katherine and Michael! Michael even had the privilege of a diaper change in the office...what a trooper!

Haley is getting ready for her 1st Christmas! I don't think she will know what to do with all her presents from Santa on Christmas morning but her facial expressions always make you think she is excited! She is getting so big and time has been flying. Next week we go for our 2 month check up!

You guys have got to see Haley's video....we are having way to much fun with her! Make sure you turn up your volumn...sorry i am laughing through most of it, but she cracks us up! She is so funny! Maybe one day we will see her on dancing with the stars!

tummy time turned into nap time

I guess i waited too long after her feeding to start play time because she only lasted a few minutes until she gave up on her tummy time and fell asleep! After sucking on her hand for a minute Haley found her thumb and she was out like a light! It was so cute! Poor baby must have been exhausted!

6 weeks old today and she slept 8 hours last night!!! We were so excited to wake up on our own and realize that it had been 8 hours and she was just starting to wake up! Keep your fingers crossed that it wasn't just a one night thing!

5 weeks old

We are getting ready for Haley's first christmas! So far she has seven christmas outfits! We wouldn't want her to run out of outfits :)

She had her 1 month check up yesterday and she now weighs 8 1/2 lbs and is 20 7/8 inches long! She is getting so big! She is starting to be more alert now and not sleeping quite as much. She loves her pacifier :( That will be a battle for another day though! She has also started to flash us a smile every once in a while!

Haley made her first trip to the office tuesday to meet my co-workers, and like every business person she had to get her starbucks on the way! This was her first visit to starbucks (Auntie Sheryl and Haley)!

1 Month Old...

Haley's first thanksgiving was great! She was so wiped out from all of the visitors and turkey that she slept 6 hrs that night!!! She was finally able to meet one set of her Great Grandparents! Don't they look proud? Haley also had her first shopping experience with Grandma Reed, Aunt Sheryl, Aunt Melissa and Angie (my cousin). We are breaking her in early...next step is to teach her how to ask Daddy for his credit card :) She wasn't able to go shopping on black friday with us but she was more than happy to take a nap with Dad instead (our little tree frog)!!! Haley cheered FSU on in her FSU outfits this weekend! Gotta love the booties!!

3 Weeks Old

Hard to believe its been 3 weeks since Haley was born! It seems like she has always been apart of our lives. She is getting so big! She is definitely a morning person like her Mom altough she looks alot like her Dad. She is the happiest after her morning feedings and typically stays awake until her next feeding just looking around, swinging her arms and legs and smiling. We are starting to see some of her personality shine through. We are looking forward to Haley's first thanksgiving with the family next week!

Two weeks old...

Haley is two weeks old today! She is changing everyday but still such a sweetheart! She is doing great and starting to wake herself up for her feedings now although she is tough to keep awake towards the end. She is sleeping great at night so far with only a few upset stomachs. Its hard to even imagine our lives before her...what did we do with all that free time! She is worth every minute though!

Trick or Treat...

Haley is all set for her first Halloween thanks to her Aunt Melissa for her halloween outfit. I can hardly believe that Haley is 7 days old today. She is such a blessing!

Haley has been such a wonderful addition to our lives! We couldn't imagine life with out her. Sleeping has actually gone very well so far and she is eating like a champ! We had our first pediatrician visit yesterday and the Dr. said she looked great! She has only lost 3 ounces since she was born and on average babies will lose about 10% of thier body weight in the first week so she is ahead of the game. I will post an update tomorrow with Haley in her Halloween outfit and she will be 7 days old!

Haley Lichtenberg

Our princess arrived 10/24/2007 at 3:19pm! She weighs 6lbs 10 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long! We came home from the hospital Friday 10/26/2007 and are doing great! Sorry i don't have much time to give many details but wanted to give everyone a quick update and some pictures of our little girl!

Wednesday is the BIG day....10/24/2007!!!

Wonderful news from the Dr. this morning.....if i have not gone into labor before tomorrow night, we will go to the hospital tomorrow night and then they will start the potosin at 5:30am wednesday morning! Our little Haley will finally be here on 10/24/2007, just in time for Halloween! Thanks to her Aunt Melissa she already has her halloween outfit! I'll try to make sure I post a picture of her wearing her costume! Stay tuned for her first pictures :)

We're still waiting...

Well we are now 37 weeks along and now that she is considered a full term baby she doesn't seem to want to make her appearance yet! She is already taking after her Mom, Aunts, and Grandma Reed in the fact that she doesn't like to be told when she can or can't do something! Amazing how they pick up these talents so young :) I think our little Haley is going to have a very interesting personality!!! We went to the Dr. today and everything seems to be going great and we are making some progress but obviously not as much progress and i would like to see at this point. I am still having several contractions an hour around the clock but until they get really really painful and 5 minutes apart i just have to wait. My belly is dropping everyday and the Dr. pointed out again today how low she was....so she is almost ready and lets all hope that it is sometime this week!

Our couples shower at Grandma and Grandpa Reed's house was fantastic! The decorations, food and gifts were absolutely wonderful! Some of which were essential to have before we were able to bring her home from the hospital...like a car seat :), diaper changing pad, boppy, a new camera for all these great pictures, etc! Even Kylah and Clayton like to test out Haley's new ride! We are so thankful for every ones thoughtfulness and eagerness to celebrate this special time in our lives!

Our Bags are Packed!

Although our little girl is not supposed to arrive for another 4-5 weeks it's looking more and more likely that she will be here any day! We spent the night at the hospital again last Friday because i was having several contractions again. They gave me some medicine to try to stop them but it only slowed them down. I am no longer on the medicine as of Monday, so now we just wait and see! I have a Dr. appt scheduled for Monday so i should know more then.

Clayton and I are looking forward to our Couples Shower this weekend and will do our best to post pictures next week!

She's almost here!

I realize i have slacked this week and I'm a little late with my posting, but its been a crazy week! Apparently our little Haley would like to see the world a little sooner than we were planning! After going to the hospital and getting some medicine to slow my contractions down the Dr.'s still seem to think she will probably be here in a couple of weeks rather than going full term. All they could say was how excited she was. They did an ultra sound and said she looks fantastic and weighs approx. 5lbs and 6 ounces but that is just an estimate. We will keep you posted on our progress!

On Saturday September 22nd i was given my first baby shower by my two sisters Sheryl & Melissa and my friend Stacey (Aunt Manace). It was such a wonderful experience to have all my friends and family around to celebrate this special time in our lives. It made it all feel so much more real and that our baby girl would soon be here. Of course the food and gifts were absolutely amazing and we feel so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family supporting us.

Getting Ready for Bath Time!

Haley's bathroom is almost complete! She still needs a few essentials like bath towels, shampoo, soap, etc but the decorating piece of it is basically complete. As i promised...here are a couple pictures of the bathroom. I hope she likes Monkey's! We decided to do the bathroom in all the colors (blue, green, pink, etc) since her room already has a lot of pink. One half of the bathroom has blue and green and the other half is pink! We have another Dr. appt. this Thursday and our first baby shower this weekend! She weighs 4 1/2 lbs this week!

Thanks to Haley's Grandparents (Lichtenberg's) she has all her game day gear ready for her first game once she arrives!
Our Dr. Appt last week went great. Dr. said everything looks great and she is measuring right on time. She is 4 lbs this week! While the nurse was trying to detect her heart beat she kicked the monitor off my belly! After the dr. chased her around a bit they were able to hear her heart beat and it was great! She just likes to play :)
We have been working on her bathroom this weekend! We still have a few final touches and then i will post a picture.

Our first blog!

Welcome to our first blog! We will do our best to post frequent baby pictures once baby Lichtenberg is here! We are planning to name her Haley Michelle Lichtenberg.

Today we are 31 weeks and she is about 3 1/2 pounds this week and around 17 inches! Her room is almost ready for her arrival! She is definitely an active baby....always moving! We have started our two week Dr. vists and have our next one this friday so stay tuned!
